Curbside Program

 

Every resident having applied for city utility service on or after Friday, July 1, 2005 is required to participate in the city's recycling service program. Weekly Service: Each Tuesday - for residents living north of Keller Parkway (FM 1709) and each Friday - for residents who live south of Keller Parkway (FM 1709) Obtain recycle bins and lids at the City's Customer Service Department, located in Keller Town Hall at 1100 Bear Creek Parkway. Residents receive two (2) free recycle bins and may purchase additional bins for $10 each. Optional lids for recycle bins may be purchased for $6 each. Place recycle bins at curbside by 7 a.m. on collection days to ensure pickup. However, containers cannot be out more than twelve (12) hours prior to pickup. Customers should keep contents secured to prevent scattering. Each recycle bin must be loaded so that they weigh less than fifty (50) pounds. Residents may set out additional materials, which are bundled or bagged, when the volume is greater than the recycling bin size. Disabled customers, who have provided certification from a physician, may place their bins near a front or garage door which is visible from the street. Collection workers cannot enter garages or behind enclosed fences.

Keller residents have free access to the City of Fort Worth's award-winning regional collection program designed to help people dispose of household chemical wastes in a responsible manner. The Environmental Collection Center (ECC) also allows Keller citizens free use of any collected reusable materials, such as approved insecticides, paints, lubricants, fertilizers, and the like. Environmental Collection Center (ECC) Requirement: Keller residents must show proof of residency (current driver's license or city utility bill) Hours or Operation: Thursdays and Fridays from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Center is closed on City of Fort Worth holidays. Phone Number: 817-871-5257 Location: 6400 Bridge Street, Fort Worth Driving Directions: Exit John T. White Road off of Loop 820 East, turn west on Bridge Street, and cross Bridgewood Drive. The ECC is on the left (south) side directly across from the Fort Worth above-ground water tank. Materials that cannot be accepted are: compressed flammable gas containers; radioactive materials, explosives, or potentially shock sensitive materials; biological, etiologic, and infectious materials; and any other waste that the City of Fort Worth may determine unacceptable.
